Submit this permit application to the Polk County Building Division before 12:00 noon to receive your permit by email before 5:00 pm of the following workday. In exceptional circumstances, more time may be required to issue permits.

Your escrow account will be charged for the single trade permit fee. You will be notified with the 1 & 2 Family permit fee due.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) and/or bold font; incomplete applications will not be processed.

WARNING TO OWNER: YOUR FAILURE TO RECORD A "NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT" MAY RESULT IN YOUR PAYING TWICE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO YOUR PROPERTY. IF YOU INTEND TO OBTAIN FINANCING, CONSULT WITH YOUR LENDER OR AN ATTORNEY BEFORE RECORDING YOUR NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT.

NOTICE OF COMMENCMENT REQUIRED FOR:
*Air conditioning changeout contracts over $7,500
*All other permit types over $2,500

Site Plans must be submitted to process Single Family Residence applications online; record the Online Permit Application # on your Site Plans.
