The Office of Business Development's mission is to assist in the creation of quality jobs by attracting new businesses to the area and by assisting local firms in their expansion efforts, resulting in a more diversified economic base. The mission is accomplished through working in an alliance with the Central Florida Development Council of Polk County. The office also works hand-in-hand with Cities, chambers and community economic development partners, to promote and maintain Polk County as a quality area to conduct business.
