Welcome to Polk County Utilities' Webpage!  This is a living document that survives and thrives on feedback from our visitors and customers, with responsive content management.   While we do pay attention to the areas that you visit, we would appreciate being informed of items you were unable to locate or missing functions that would be of value to you.   This site is maintained for your convenience and information; please let us know if we are meeting or missing your expectations by sending email to susanbritt@polk-county.net .

Our group is a full service organization with 5 functional groups:  customer services (meter reading, billing and accounting); technical services (engineering, development coordination, utility location, permitting compliance and construction inspections); capital (improvement and expansion projects); and operations (field services and emergency repairs).   The water services provided include drinking water, wastewater management and reclaimed irrigation water.  This department is an enterprise fund; therefore, our only source of income is from customer charges, and our only expenses are those necessary to provide you with the current level of services.  Accordingly, our mission is simple: to deliver valued water services to our customers.   This is a Webpage whose purpose is to meet your needs and to provide a convenient means of communication.  We look forward to hearing from you.
