Thank You!
On behalf of Polk County Public Safety, I would like to thank you for your participation
in the 2010 Hurricane Expo. It was a huge success, in part, due to the seamless
cooperation between each agency.
We estimate there were approximately 4,000 people in attendance. That’s 4,000 residents
who were concerned enough about hurricane readiness to attend our event and learn
how to best protect their family and home before, during and after a storm.
We have already scheduled the event for June 4, 2011, and we look forward to partnering
with you again. Registration and vendor details will be available on our website
(www.polk-county.net/hurricaneexpo)
in mid March , so be sure to mark your calendars.
Again, thank you for your interest in the residents of Polk County and we hope to
see you next year. If there is anything I can do to assist you in your preparations,
please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Join us on June 5, 2010 @ 9AM - 3PM for a day of disaster preparedness
seminars, power tool safety demonstrations, children's activities, exhibits, concessions
and much more!
